The run-up to Yuri's night party day has been hectic. All that CAN go wrong HAS! But, I am alive, so is the rest of the organizing team and everyone who was being a twit in general and our problem in particular! So, no bloodshed, just a few very sleepless nights.
I attend a GA at TP... early early. Get breakfast there - when all delights of dealing with french language (its a nice sounding one, but the attitudes are too slow towards it!) and people and timing (slackness) are fading away, theres croissants and pineapple n orange melange to restore my good faith!
I rush out to town - CHRIS ARRIVES TODAY!!!!! YAY!!! oh, I am rushing to the place, I am (for once) 10 mins early... I bump into Daniel, who is meant to be on Chris' plane and I am like: OH SHOOT! Bollocks, he is here and would think I forgot. I rush over -hm, no signs of him! I am sort of panicking - what do I do? did he miss the plane? what the hell happened? I am looking in all directions when I spot a hunky fella walking over from where the cathedral is! The crowds part and I wish we had that big operatic music (if only rocket scientist's lives were that interesting!)... :-)
Its great to see Chris. He was knackered tho - bless him, he slept at the airport and got woken up at 4 am! We came directly to uni... the celebrations start soon. We find him a comfy sofa at uni and I go shopping for the MEGA HUNGRY BBQ whilst he dozed for a tiny bit. Everyone at university was also glad to see him - they kept opening the door, peeping in and going *surprised face*: 'thats bee's boyfriend sleeping' ....lol.
The talks and shows were really interesting. The BBQ turned out well. The party was good, we had many good laughs. Even in the end if there were any tears, it was more to do with the fact that the party was meant for a bigger cause - a reason, we are all devoting our lives to, not only in Strasbourg but wherever we go in the future.
Ace.
Chris' mixes were brilliant! Thanks to all that DJ-ed, helped, had fun, drank, laughed and looked at the site and to my rants on this blog. Long live Yuri's spirit.
