San Francisco

"The coldest winter I had was the summer I spent in San Francisco" said Mark Twain. So true.

Went to SF over the 5 day weekend. Walked the golden gate bridge amongst heavy baltic stormy winds, saw the gorgeous rotunda at the international palace of fine arts, saw NASA ames, which technically is not in SF... my birds eye view shot of it!

Went to visit Will Marshall at his mansion on the top of mountain view and saw my lovely distant aunty - which was really cool. In tradition of getting hammered with space people and talking about how to change the world, we all did exactly the above, with one slight modification this time. We were being recorded! lol.

Also it was great to see Pete Warden - probably the most fun and relaxed person capable of holding a debate with anyone of conflicting views. Also had a great short hike in the mountains to a winery run by the second man ever to travel supersonic! It was a great change from being amongst mountains of big buildings! glad it worked out so well from a short random phone call! :-) Random holidays are always the best ones!
