day at uni
Went up to uni - had a good chat with Eddie, Keri and Gary Lock... Briefly saw other mates - Paul Riggs, Lew (good luck for running the mini-marathon of Bath). Eddie and Chris are incharge of sorting live entertainment (you know, that kind!) for Andy's Stag Doo!
Eddie and I have this rather weird but funny conversation. I know it would humour Andy, but probably wont go down the same hit for Sally. Andy has 4 (or so) 'best men' designated for his wedding - personally I think he is building in contingency in case of food poisoning epidemic, last minute nerves and running away from wedding-syndrome, the general probability of someone dying of smoking or being run away by bus or that one of them wins the lottery and buys a yatch that Dan and I can sail in to Spain with and pleads to join us on the adventure - you know, that sort of thing).
So, by the christian logic of why there generally is a 'best man' (for those who don't know; its so that he would take care of the bride in case something happens to the groom)... there would be 4 people who would have to 'marry' or 'take care' or 'time-share' Sally if Andy suffers from any adversaries of health due to excessive partaking of booze/tea/lentils- whatever they are planning to use to intoxicate themselves! lol
Eddie kept chuckling away at the thought of it when I mentioned, it would be very much like the time share villa one buys in Devon! :-)
Anyhoo, I don't know if Andy or Sally read this ever, so I think the conversation and Eddie's position as one of the 'best men' is safe here! But if they do come by this - hope they both have a great great weekend before their wedding and hope they have a great great wedding!
Later in the evening, mum gave us two tickets to go and see a movie at Little theatre. We saw Syriana - really good movie about the middle east politics and petroleum business. Chris and I also went into to Flan o'briens for a pint of the good stuff. better was the fruity stuff Chris was having - heavily fruity... hmm
Meant to be leaving for london tomorrow...
