sorting stuff out
Wow, we humans have spun such a web of bureaucracy around us - we are never going to get out of it! its everywhere - you keep going round and round in this long-distance train which makes you stop at every single desk, where you are met with sighs (the kind of you can do whilst you blow a lot of air out of your mouth and nod sideways in a pendulum sort of way - think of the french, and you know what I mean!)
[does not apply to Olivia - as she is only person I know who works enough to make up for the entire country!]
But, every officer has his/her own problem, their own hesitation and their own buffer around a lunchbreak! If anyone wants to invade France , ever, lunchtime (Paris time: 12.00-14.00) is the best time to do so. [Just for reference, in case any of you were going to do that] Any matter of whatever importance gets put aside - such is the power of the mighty baguette!
Well, rant over: I had a sorting out day - in order to face my nightmares and go around zillions of desk to get, renew, claim, cash for insurance, medical cover, student allowance, blah blah blah and so on, so forth!
Its really really cold - my landlady tells me that its -7 degrees, I generally think she only says that in order to justify why its cold in my bedroom, but I open up the online weather page and at 2.00 am in the morning its -12... I am about to get into bed: can't wait to feel snug as a bug untill early tomorrow morning when I get to go 'home'!
