flat tyres and coming home
Oh yeh, fresh and fine - I get to the airport shuttle, get to the plane: its like clockwork. Only that, its freeeeeezing: the digi weather reader at the airport shows -14 (I have to say, I feel colder when I read it than before - ignorance is bliss as they say!)
So, I have no idea what the plans are to get back, but currently I am heading back 'home' for 4days. I get to see mum, teju, chris and eddie, keri, fran and possibly shorty ... lets see. So, travelling from France to UK - not a problem. The jet engine was invented and has been tested in the span of last 50 or so years extensively; which allows me to traverse a distance of 771.3km (+55.1km: Source - mappy.com!) in 1hr20mins.
swift!
Now, the 156.7km from London Central to Bath take more than 6 hrs! Guess why? yeh, some sort of bus/coach problem: first a diesel leak and then a flat tyre, which was replaced by a rather abusive driver who was NOT happy driving a bus on a tuesday midafternoon! hmm... One day, I am going to buy those rocket racing jet packs to get to Bath - you better mark these words! A Segway would have got me home quicker!
Anyhoo, I get to Bath - and get a quick shower to join my civilized family for dinner! Chris joins us for dinner and oh yum! No one can beat mum's khichdi-kadhee! I realised during dinner (and I think the other did as well) of how long I had been craving this - no shame, no harm: I finished every single grain and drop of Kadhee that was hoping to go uneaten! lol
yum yum yum... oh I feel hungry again
It was lovely to see Chris! Paul Reilly said to me in an email - 'have fun at one of many homes': its true. Its the beauty of human nature- home is where your family is, home is in the arms of someone you adore, home is where your teddy bear is (or your own pillow, or whatever! ...:-) ) It felt good to be in Bath - not much has changed, apart from some high-street shops and some extensive scaffolding nearby 'the grapes'.
